Wine-lovers are usually curious to learn about the world of wine competitions and to become acquainted with judging methods. Wine competitions, however, are organised in accordance with strict international rules, with the involvement of experienced wine judges, usually hidden from the general public. We would like to take this opportunity to break this habit and open up the world of wine competitions to visitors to the Wine Festival.
Th is year, the VinAgora tent will again offer its visitors information on the first wine judging computer system in the world, in use since 2000, as well as a chance to become a wine judge for an hour, with the assistance of wine judging professionals. Visitors can become involved in the process of wine judging, become acquainted with a range of the unique aromas and bouquets that can be discovered in wines.
During the four days of the festival, participants can judge the fi ve or six wines tasted in an hour and their assessment will decide which winemaker’s product will be picked as the winner in each of the six categories of the Wine of the Festival award.

A group of 15 participants per hour.
