Just as wine is an indispensable part of food culture, there is no Wine Festival without culinary indulgances. For years it has been our mission to cover as broad a gastronomic selection as possible, from traditional festival dishes through street food to gourmet specialties, so that everyone can match the proper bites to her mood - and wine.
New players and familiar faces are both among the catering exhibitors of the 25th Budapest Wine Festival. Along the higher-end, gourmet lines, it is our pleasure to welcome for the first time 'Sarki Fűszeres' - considered to be a legendary spot in the 13th District by many. Lovers of premium specialties can meet once again The World of Truffles ('A Szarvasgomba Világa'), and on a new, cozier spot Gerbeaud Café, this time in the Tokaj Courtyard so that you do not have to walk too far for a sip of Aszú wine to match your dessert. Bolka Bonbon and Molnár's Chimney Cake ('Kürtőskalács') will make your life completeley sweet.
We are setting up a real street food orgy as well: Low Cost Gourmet Trailer will join the long familiar Montenegro Gurman - Reinpold's KOLBice - Bakker line-up on the Gastro Walkway. Some Italian treats are to be found only a few steps away at Kométa Corner located in Balaton Courtyard. The place to be for burger fans is Budapest Burger or Szittya Buci, while cheese enthusiasts can really get lost in the fantastic assortment of SZEGA Market, SZEGA Cheese Contest of European Nations ('Nemzetek Sajtversenye'), or NG Cheese Terrace ('Sajtterasz')
True festival cuisine will not be missing since two classic exhibitors will ensure that nobody goes home hungry: colorful 'Országkonyha' in the Oroszlános Courtyard, and 'Csülök Bár' (Trotters Bar), supplier of tasty, Hungarian dishes, on the Eastern terraces.
After a good meal with excellent wine, a coffee is a must, and we provide top quality in that respect: Nespresso is the coffee partner of Budapest Wine Festival! Everyone purchasing an early-bird ticket to the Festival before September 1 will be Nespresso's guest for a cup of espresso at their stand.
